[The following is the condensed December edition of the New England Taiko Kai newsletter] The holiday season is upon us and a lot is going on in Maine and Massachusetts. ONE’s Crossroads concert went well, and they are now preparing for a slew of smaller performances in December and January, all part of cultural events with many other fun performances and activities. In just a week, Bowdoin Taiko in Maine will appear alongside the college’s dance groups, debuting a new song composed by the club’s director, Doran Rivera. At the same time, the Maine Thunder Spirits will perform in Sanford Christmas Parade. And make sure not to miss the kakizome calligraphy performance (with taiko accompaniment) by Koji Kakinuma on Dec 9. This guy looks amazing. Check out the press release: http://www.kakinumakoji.com/information/perform_pu_info_english.html If you want to ask about any of these events, get added to our mailing list, or add events to the calendar, email me at
