Tabi
Tabi are Japanese two-toed socks. Since regular tabi have thin cotton soles, a special kind of tabi with a rubber sole was created to wear outside - Matsuri Tabi. Lightweight and comfortable, they are a natural part of a taiko player's costume.
Matsuri Tabi are available in a number of styles, from the standard style with a thin rubber sole to new Air-jog tabi with a cushioned sole. Recently special tabi just for taiko players have been created which give a firm, stable grip with the wide legged stances often used on stage.

Sizing:
Tabi are measured in centimeters from the tip of your longest toe to your heel (you may want to stand on a sheet of paper and have someone else trace your foot to get your measurement). Unfortunately, US and European sizes don't convert precisely, but for your convenience here is a conversion chart..
