Eitetsu Hayashi is a living legend, and the most famous solo taiko performer in the world. A founding member of Ondekoza and Kodo, he has revolutionized the way taiko is played. From mind-blowingly intricate and powerful Odaiko solos to his work with soundtracks and symphony orchestras, Eitetsu is a true trailblazer.

Jyakuchu No Tsubasa documents Eitetsu's interest in the painter Jyakuchu who painted fantastically realistic painting of flightless birds. This seeming contradiction serves as the springboard for Eitetsu's continuing explorations into taiko composition. In true Eitetsu style, there is a broad variety of taiko playing here, from his famous Odaiko solos to complex passages across many drums. Produced in 1999.
